Children books app

iStorybooks: If you have little kids (2-8 years old) give this app a try. It provides you with free access to story books with pictures, audio and text for the kids to enjoy. You can read to them, or they can read them themselves. Or they can listen to the books "read themselves" through the audio feature. They add new books every 2 weeks. Pretty cool. Here's the link. From the phone search for "istorybooks" and install. Happy reading! Or listening!
*** This is the 100th app I list in my blog. Here's looking to the next 100.

Voice-video calling app

Skype: Probably not a secret for most of us, Skype is being used by millions of people every day. I personally use it a lot to call my folks in Europe. I didn't put it on the blog so far because, for a long time Skype didn't support video calling using the front facing camera. Now you can use it for video calling and it works pretty well. Plus, when you call somebody else on Skype is free. Here's the link. From the phone simply search for "skype" and install.

Weather app

1Weather: If you want to try a different weather app, give this one a try. It's very nice looking, simple to navigate and fun to use. It provides real-time global forecasts (for almost any location in the world) and very accurate local weather. It has animated maps and radar, daily weather alarms and severe conditions alerts. It also has real time tweets about weather. Very nice. Here's the link. From the phone search for "1weather" and install.

Social game

Draw Something Free: This is a game suggested to me by my daughter, Andreea. It's very simple and easy to learn. It's similar to Pictionary and you can play it online with your friends. You draw something on the screen and then send it to your friends, who will need to guess what you drew. You can also play it online competitively against anybody (not just your friends). The best part is that the worst you draw the more chances you have to win. Here's the link. From the phone search for "draw something free" and install.

Game

Ninja Chicken: Another very funny and easy to play game. I love this one. I think is hilarious. It's about a chicken who thinks he's a ninja and he's trying to prove it to the other chickens. The game has 30 levels and many missions that will keep you interested for a long time. The graphics are also pretty cool. Here's the link. From the phone search for "ninja chicken" and install. Happy fighting!

Soccer app

UEFA Champions League edition: Since I'm a big soccer fan, I thought I'd put here something related to it. This is an app that keeps you updated with the biggest (in my opinion) soccer competition there is. It provides live scores, customized alerts, news, photos, standings and more. If you like soccer (or football like is called in Europe) you need this app. Here's the link. From the phone search for "uefa champions league" and install.

Family Tracker app

Family GPS Tracker: This is a nice and useful app especially if you have teenage kids with cellphones and would like to know where they are. The app uses the built in GPS to give you the exact location of your family members and alerts you when they're in trouble, using the check-in feature. Another feature allows you to see sex offenders in your area. A must have for parents who want to know their kids are safe. Here's the link. From your phone search for "family gps tracker" and install.
