Video calling app

Tango Video calls: If you're not a big fan of Skype but would like to make video calls from your phone, this could be a nice alternative. The app allows you to make free video calls, phone calls and send free video messages. Your friends don't need to have Tango to receive your video messages (they need it for video calls, though). You can also personalize your video calls using Tango Surprises (fun animations that provide a special feel to your experience). Very cool app. Here's the link. Volume control app

Shush! : This is a very simple app that will allow you to control the ringer volume much easier. The way it works is that when you silence your phone with the volume buttons, the app will ask you how long do you want the ringer to stay silent. Then you specify a time frame and the app will turn the ringer on for you. You won't have to remember to do that every time. Can be very useful when you go in a meeting or go to a movie. Soccer app

Euro 2012: With Euro 2012 less than 2 weeks from starting, this is a nice app to have if you're interested in this competition or soccer in general (or football how we call it in Europe). It is the official UEFA app for this tournament and it has many nice features: live scores, free customised alerts, news, photos and standings. By the way this tournament runs from June 08-July 01 and will be hosted by Ukraine and Poland. Unfortunatelly Romania didn't make it. Will watch anyway.

Game

Men In Black 3: This is the official game of the new Men in Black movie. The game puts you in charge of the agency. And you are the last line of defense against the alien invaders and the last hope for humans. But don't worry. You will have help from the 2 agents who are pretty experienced. You get to train agents and assign them to missions, have access to a lot of weapons and cool gadgets. You can take on your enemies in present time or you can go back to 1969 ( if you go there say hello to baby Larry-that's me). Pretty cool. Here's the link. Expense tracking app

CoinKeeper: This is one of the best budget tracking apps available for Android devices. It is a nice and simple way to keep track of your budget and daily expenses. IMDB Movies & TV: If you are a movie lover or like to watch tv shows, you need this app. The app provides all kinds of information about movies and tv shows. With over 2 million movies and tv shows you can find anything you're interested in. The app also has info for over 4 million celebrities, actors, actresses, directors and other crew members. The features are numerous: you can rate movies and tv shows, watch trailers, view users reviews and critics reviews, see show times for the local theaters, recaps of TV shows from previous night, latest entertainment news from hundreds of media outlets. Basketball Shoot: This is a very simple and easy game to learn. Whenever you have some time to kill, give this game a try. Tennis app

Roland Garros 2012: If you like tennis, now you can stay current with the French Open tournament. This is the official app of the tournament and has a lot of cool features: 3d virtual visit of the stadium, Twitter buzz on all the matches, live scores, draws, real time statistics, breaking news and more. Radio app

8tracks: This is an app similar to Pandora, except the playlists are not generated by the computer. Instead, they are created by other users. Just find the one you like and fits your mood and start  listening. There are more than 450,000 mixes created by people who know & love music. Towers N' Trolls: Very nice game with very good graphics. The objective of the game is to defend your kingdom from invading troll hordes. The game combines fast paced arcade action with quick thinking strategy. The game is very fast and will keep you interested at all time. Social app

Path: This app provides a very nice and easy way of staying in touch with your family and friends. It works like a journal and it allows you to share photos, videos, where you are and who you're with, what music you're listening to and much more. News Republic: This is one of my favorite news app. I use this every day on my tablet. Very nice presentation with news sorted by different categories. The best part is that you choose what kind of news (categories) the app will show you. It's highly customizable. Shoebox: If you have old paper photos and would like to have them in digital format, use this app. It provides an easy and fast way to scan your photos and share them with your friends. Angry Monkey: If you're looking for a simple game that will help you pass the time, try this one. The objective is to save the banana from the angry monkey. Weather app

WeatherBug: Another great weather app for your phone. This one is not a big secret as I've seen it already installed on a lot of phones. The features include Doppler radar, severe weather alerts, maps, forecasts and much more. You can see 7 days forecasts and the map allows you to touch any point on the map and see the current conditions there (including temperature, wind speed and more). You also have access to over 2000 weather web cams all over the country for a better look at the local weather. Photo Grid: If you like to be creative with your pictures, this app can help you do that. It's especially useful if you use Instagram. Pocket: This app allows you to safely store your sensitive information on your phone. You can use it to store bank account details, passwords, frequent flier numbers and anything else that you want hidden. Go SMS Pro: If the native messaging app on your phone is boring for you, try this app. It works just like any other messaging app and you can still send text messages like before. Game

Frontline Commando: One of the best and most popular 3rd person shooting game available for Android. You are the last surviving member of a commando team and are stranded on the frontline. You have to use all your skills to stay alive and destroy the enemy. Easy Scorecard: Warm weather is here and everybody's getting ready for golfing season (at least in Midwest U.S., where you can only play half a year). TripIt: If you like to keep your travel plans organized in one place, try this app. I personally hate having to look for emails in 2-3 different email accounts to find flight reservations, hotel reservations, restaurant reservations etc. With this app all you have to do is forward your travel confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com and never worry about loosing them.
